Samantha Panger is a New York based cinematographer. Her work on short documentaries has traveled festival circuits in the US and abroad. Her work with Collective Sex on the short NAMES OF WOMEN has also been on tour around the country and in collegiate settings inspiring women and their partners to share their stories without judgement. She recently compleated production with Collective Sex on MERCY MISTRESS, a pilot that explores the world of the kink community through their own stories with an emphasis on honoring marginalized voices. She is also working on a feature doc ALTERED that will explore genetic testing and how it can influence life decisions.
Having been a camera technician in New York for seven years on projects ranging from shorts to features, from television to web content, and from narrative to documentary, Samantha uses techniques from a wide range of formats in her work to play with light, expand her skill set, and still work within the budget and creative ideas of directors she works with.
Samantha is interested in collaborating with like minded filmmakers to tell authentic stories.
